Nice sized greenhouse for my backyard

This is a nicely built greenhouse: the frames are strong, and the panels are effective in keeping the heat inside. Panels felt flimsy in the beginning, but they are alright. Very complicated to set it up though - I needed two people for two days to put it together. But overall, satisfactory.

Have to agree with Ray

Have to agree with Ray June 2, 2022... Now reading Ray's points I thinks I have put the clear panels in the wrong way! All good- panels are in the right way !!!!
I put this together by myself & hopefully have a great product - best go out and rattle my panels to check..... Put it together over 2 weeks, interuptions, waiting on flooring, rain, wind...... wind is your enemy! Looked at instruction, available videos etc, but nothing very helpful. Thankfully I have a mind that can work around the lack of good instructions. Would be very happy to rewrite them - or more to the point actually WRITE some!!!! Very frustrating; fiddley to put together, due to lack of access to be able to easily tighten nuts.
Hey but I did it, never let anyone tell you - you can't!!! 56 year old female with arthritic hands, but thankfully with a brillant mind when it comes to putting things together... hahaha
Lots of room for improvement BUT overall happy with the end result

First up - If you

First up - If you are no good at following pictures to construct things then this isn't the kit for you. This is a big big job to construct. It took us over 14hrs to put together including construction of the wooden base which was treated pine sleepers and ensuring that the base was square and level semi buried in the ground. It must be square and level. If the base isn't square and level then you will fail. Screw the greenhouse base onto the wooden frame you created using wood screws in every hole. Many reviews say that the greenhouse is flimsy and falls apart in wind. If you follow the instructions then you will end up with a sturdy structure, however you MUST ensure the clear panels have the lip down the edges inserted into the aluminium channels otherwise the panels will rattle and will blow out. The lip is what locks the panels into the aluminium. The kit comes with extra nuts and bolts - bonus. There are PVC edge strips that go along the top of the roof panels. If I were to build this again I would silicon these PVC strips in place day one as they come off too easily when you put the panels on then it's a pain to reattach them. Some of the pictures are confusing but you can work it out if you are mechanically minded. The aluminium reinforcing strips (x8) used to strengthen the house are so flimsy it is ridiculous. Don't even put them on, but go to you hardware store and buy 25mm x 25mm x 1.5mm right angle aluminium and use the existing braces as a template and cut the right angle to match. You will need to angle the ends to give you room to bolt them on. Attach the 8 braces you made and the greenhouse will be rock solid. If you bought the louvre kit then the louvre panels are about 5mm too short and fall out quite easily. Go buy some perplex panel the same thickness and cut louvres to match. Lastly, buy some outdoor clear silicon and go nuts on all of the panels, particularly along the tops of the roof panels as this will lock them all into place and stop any rattling between the panels and aluminium. Everything is labelled in the kit either with stickers or with numbers punched into some pieces. It is incredibly well engineered with a few let downs such as some pictures need some textual explanations (eg. ensure the panels slide into the grooves with the lip inserted to ensure they are locked in), and a lot of the corner bolts cannot be tightened until after the panels are on, thereby making it incredibly difficult to bolt them up. You will need some pointy nose pliers for them. I think all the nuts and bolts are imperial sizes as none of my metric sockets wouldn't fit, making it quite tedious using a small adjustable spanner. Overall a good kit with a few areas needing improvement.
